Eastern Canada Ski Resorts

Quebec and the Maritimes anchor Eastern Canadian skiing — Mont-Sainte-Anne, Tremblant, Le Massif de Charlevoix, and the wilder Gaspé and Newfoundland peaks. Smaller verticals than the West, but reliable cold and a distinctly French-Canadian ski culture.

Skiing in Eastern Canada — FAQ

Best Eastern Canada resort?
Tremblant is the biggest single resort by vertical and infrastructure. Mont-Sainte-Anne and Le Massif de Charlevoix offer the most snowfall and St. Lawrence views. Powder hunters head further east to Gaspé's Mont Albert and the Chic-Chocs backcountry.
When is the Eastern Canada ski season?
December through April. January and February are coldest and snowiest; March often has the best snow on groomers as the days lengthen.
How much snow does it get?
Most Eastern Canadian resorts average 200–400 inches per season. Le Massif de Charlevoix and the Gaspé interior get the most thanks to St. Lawrence moisture.
