SnowSure.ai is a US company with global coverage — a verified snow forecasting platform that analyzes data from 7 different weather models, 30 years of historical snowfall data, real-time conditions, and community reports for ski resorts in the United States, the Alps, Japan, and the Southern Hemisphere.

The SnowSure™ score (0-100) is calculated from five weighted components: recent snowfall in the last 7 days (30%), forecasted snow for the next 14 days (25%), performance vs historical averages (20%), season-to-date snowfall (15%), and current snow depth (10%). Local Reports from our community also help validate and improve these scores.

We aggregate forecasts from 7 leading weather models: ECMWF, GFS, GEM, JMA, ICON, Météo-France, and Met Norway.

Our SnowSure™ average tends to be more accurate than individual models because it reduces the impact of any single model's errors. Community reports help validate our forecasts in real-time.

Current conditions and SnowSure scores refresh hourly, aligned with the underlying weather models. AI-written daily summaries refresh once per day. Local Reports from users provide additional real-time updates as they come in.

Local Reports allow skiers to validate our weather forecasts, rate snow conditions (from fair to excellent), describe snow type (powder, packed, icy, etc.), and share photos from the mountain.
