What we aim for
Afore aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2, level AA, on snowsure.ai. That is the standard most accessibility law points at, and it is the one we measure ourselves against.
We have not had an independent audit. This statement describes what we do and what we know, not a certificate anyone has issued us.
What is checked automatically
Three pages are tested every day against the live site, using the axe rules engine:

A serious or critical finding fails that check. On 7 October 2026 it found two on the home page: a set of tabs that contained a link, and a map marked up as a single image while holding links inside it, which made those links reachable by keyboard and invisible to a screen reader. Both are fixed.
What a machine cannot tell you
An automated check finds missing labels, broken structure and invalid roles. It cannot tell you whether the focus order makes sense, whether a map conveys the same thing to someone who cannot see it, or whether an error message is announced when it appears. We know these are the parts most likely to be wrong, and we have not had a person who relies on assistive technology test the site end to end.
Known limitations
- The mountain map and the radar are visual. Every figure they show is also available as text on the resort page, but the maps themselves are not usable without sight.
- Colour carries meaning in the snow-quality chips and the El Niño shading. Each one also has a text label, so colour is never the only signal, but the shade itself is not described.
- Some charts have no table alternative yet.
- The iOS app is not covered by this statement. It follows the system text size and VoiceOver, and has not been tested as thoroughly as the website.

If something on this site is unusable for you, email info@snowsure.ai. Tell us the page and what happened, and what you were using if you know it. We answer within five working days, and we will say what we are going to do and when, rather than only that we received it.
