SnowSure Connect

One install makes it easy to send us your snow conditions, open lifts, webcams and hours — and turns your WordPress site into a fully-wired SnowSure partner: verified feed, AI discovery files, structured data, and embeddable widgets.

Requires WordPress 6.0+ and PHP 7.4+. You’ll need a SnowSure resort key — request one here if you don’t have it yet.

What one install does

Daily Report form in your dashboard

Ski patrol enters the morning numbers once — new snow, base/summit depth, lifts and runs open, surface condition, hours, webcam. Publishing updates your own site and sends the report to SnowSure at the same time. It counts as operator-verified data, the highest trust tier.

Verified structured feed

Adds a clean /wp-json/snowsure/v1/ feed (report, resort profile, OpenAPI) with real timestamps, so SnowSure reads your conditions directly instead of scraping your pages.

Freshness webhooks

When you publish or edit a page, the plugin pings SnowSure so your content is re-read within minutes — no waiting for the next crawl.

AI Discovery Pack

Serves llms.txt, /.well-known/ai-catalog.json and your resort’s MCP server card automatically, kept current by SnowSure — nothing for your team to maintain.

SkiResort structured data

Emits SkiResort JSON-LD from the same fields as the feed, so your markup and your visible content can never disagree — the schema layer AI answer engines read.

Embeddable widgets

Drop live conditions, the 14-day forecast, the SnowSure Score, a snow badge, or the AI concierge onto any page with a [snowsure_widget] shortcode.

Set it up in five minutes

  1. 1Download the plugin (.zip) and install it in WordPress under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, then activate.
  2. 2Open the new SnowSure menu in your dashboard, go to Settings, and paste your resort slug and the API key SnowSure issued you. Save — the health card should read “Paired ✅”.
  3. 3Fill in your resort profile (elevation, terrain mix, season dates). It feeds the structured data, the profile feed, and your llms.txt in one place.
  4. 4Publish your first Daily Report from the SnowSure menu. That’s your snow, lifts, runs and webcam going to SnowSure as operator-verified data.
  5. 5Optional: drop a live widget anywhere with [snowsure_widget widget="conditions"].

If /llms.txt returns a 404 right after activation, visit Settings → Permalinks once to refresh WordPress’s routing.

Already have a snow-report system?

If your morning numbers come from an ops platform (UltraTrax, DOR, Inntopia), your web team can feed the push straight from that source with the snowsure_connect_report_payload filter — no double entry. And if you’re not on WordPress at all, you can still get in via email or a JSON feed.
