SnowSure.ai is an AI-powered snow forecasting platform that analyzes data from 7 different weather models, 30 years of historical snowfall data, and real-time conditions to provide the most accurate snow predictions for ski resorts worldwide. Our SnowSure™ score gives you a single number (0-100) to quickly understand current and forecasted snow conditions at any resort.

The SnowSure™ score (0-100) uses our proprietary algorithm that analyzes multiple data sources to give you a single, easy-to-understand number for snow conditions. We consider current snow depth, recent snowfall over the past week, forecasted snow from 7 different weather models, and 30 years of historical averages for each resort. Scores 60+ are Outstanding, 50+ Excellent, 40+ Good, 30+ Solid, 20+ Fair, and below 20 is Limited. The score updates multiple times daily as new data comes in.

We aggregate forecasts from 7 leading weather models: ECMWF (European Centre), GFS (US Global Forecast System), GEM (Canadian Model), JMA (Japan Meteorological Agency), ICON (German Weather Service), Météo-France, and Met Norway. Our AI combines these models to produce a SnowSure™ weighted average that's typically more accurate than any single model.

Snow forecasting is inherently uncertain, especially beyond 5-7 days. That's why we show you forecasts from multiple models so you can see the range of possibilities. Our SnowSure™ average tends to be more accurate than individual models because it reduces the impact of any single model's errors. We also show historical data so you can see how current conditions compare to typical years.

Current conditions (temperature, snow depth, recent snowfall) are updated multiple times per day as resorts report new data. Weather forecasts are updated every 6-12 hours as new model runs become available. The SnowSure™ score is recalculated automatically whenever underlying data changes.

We currently track snow conditions for over 70 ski resorts worldwide, focusing on premier destinations in the Alps (Switzerland, France, Austria, Italy), Japan, North America (USA and Canada), and other key ski regions. We're continuously expanding our coverage based on user demand.

Yes! All snow reports, forecasts, and SnowSure™ scores on SnowSure.ai are completely free. We believe everyone should have access to accurate snow information to plan their ski trips. Premium features may be added in the future, but core forecasting will always be free.

Use our Snow Concierge AI on the homepage! Just type a question like 'Where should I ski this weekend?' or 'Best powder in Japan next week' and our AI will analyze current conditions and forecasts to give you personalized resort recommendations based on your criteria.

Our webcam section displays live or near-live camera feeds from ski resorts, showing actual conditions on the mountain. These are sourced from official resort webcams and third-party providers. Webcam availability varies by resort - not all resorts have webcams in our database yet.
